These terms cover use of this website. They are not your repair contract. Repair work is governed by the written estimate and authorization you sign at the shop, and by California Bureau of Automotive Repair regulations.
The website
This site is informational. Prices, ranges, labor hours and timelines published here are indicative and are provided to help you understand what work of this kind involves.
Nothing on this site is a quotation. A quotation for your vehicle exists only in a written estimate produced after we have inspected it.
Pricing accuracy
We publish our posted labor rates, materials formula, parts markup and deposit terms in full, and we keep them current.
Price ranges shown against individual services describe what work of that type typically costs across the vehicles we see. Your vehicle may fall outside a published range in either direction, and the estimate governs.
Estimates and authorization
Estimates are paid and are credited back in full against an authorized repair. Estimate pricing is published on the pricing page.
No work is performed without your written authorization. Where teardown reveals additional necessary work, we stop, document it, and contact you for authorization before proceeding, as California law requires.
Deposits and payment
Deposit terms and the card surcharge are published on the pricing page and form part of the authorization you sign.
Special order parts require a non-refundable deposit at the time of order because they cannot be returned. Final balance is due at pickup.
Insurance work
Where a repair is billed to an insurance carrier, work may be written at carrier-negotiated labor rates that differ from our posted retail rates.
You remain responsible for your deductible and for any item your carrier does not cover. You are entitled under California Insurance Code section 758.5 to select your own repair facility.
Content and intellectual property
The text, photographs and design of this site belong to OCRV Center. You may link to it and quote reasonably from it with attribution.
The technical information published here is offered in good faith based on our experience. It is general information about vehicle repair rather than instruction for work on your specific vehicle, and it is not a substitute for inspection by a qualified technician.
Limitation
This website is provided as is. We do not warrant that it is error free or continuously available.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from use of this website is limited. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your rights in relation to repair work actually performed.
